The Conference brought together over 100 professionals representing the public and private sector from across New Mexico including senior officials from the USDA and FDA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Alliance Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Implement a training program and a series of response exercises\u00a0to help participants gain experience and become better acquainted with the investigation process\u00a0when a food borne illness outbreak and investigation occurs.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Identify and fill gaps in knowledge related to food safety, food defense and food security.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Develop a\u00a0Web Portal to information on food safety and defense topics important to industry, consumers, and Alliance members.\u00a0The web portal should\u00a0include such things as current information on food safety and defense activities occurring nationwide.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A contact list for Alliance members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_4&#8243;
